Chris Christensen of The Amateur Traveler

Our March New Media Artist is Chris Christensen, who is behind The Amateur Traveler blog. By day Chris is a Director of Engineering at TripAdvisor in charge of TripAdvisor Flights and Seat Guru, but his blog reflect his point of view.

Chris says he comes from a long line of story tellers. Growing up his family did a lot of traveling for vacation, usually pulling a small trailer between various national parks. The success of a vacation for the Christensens was measured with an odometer. Chris enjoys learning new languages and has studied German, French, Italian, Spanish, Mandarin, Turkish, Russian, Swahili and Greek. However, he says that he’s only fluent in English and that only when properly caffeinated.

Please join Chris at any of these online spots:

Hey there! I know this is kinda off topic but I’d figured I’d ask.
Would you be interested in exchanging links or maybe guest writing a blog article or vice-versa?
My site discusses a lot of the same topics
as yours and I think we could greatly benefit from each other.
If you might be interested feel free to send me
an email. I look forward to hearing from you! Great
    blog by the way!
