Meet our 2012 New Media Artists-in-Residence

9 Mar

Today we are launching our 2012 social media campaign featuring an outstanding group of hand-selected new media artists (aka bloggers and podcasters) who will be sharing their experiences with you as they Visit Lānaʻi, or as we say online, #VisitLanai.

The artists will be on island for 6 nights / 7 days and will be staying at the Hotel Lanai and both Four Seasons’ properties while visiting with the entire Lānaʻi community:

I am so honored to be chosen to participate in this program. Though I’ve visited Hawaii previously, I’ve never been to the island of Lanai and have always wanted to visit it. Finally, I’ll have that chance, courtesy of your wonderful program.

Mahalo for stopping by Pete! We’ve updated this blog so you can search for last year’s team (Choose the 2011 Category) and find links to all of their articles on the beautiful and almost private island of Lānaʻi. 🙂

Mahalo! We are very excited and hope the bloggers gaina as much benefit as we will by having them as our invited guests. If you use Twitter, you can follow the hashtag #VisitLanai. I agree, local bloggers have much to contribute to the tourism and travel conversations. I’ve often wondered about visitors having “buddies” or pen pals with locals. as so many visitors report wanting to meet the locals!

FYI the new media artists who were selected are full time travel writers and they have done a lot over the years to build some very active audiences! I am hoping for now we can connect on line.

Hey this is somewhat of off topic but I was wanting to know if blogs use WYSIWYG
editors or if you have to manually code with HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding know-how so I wanted to get advice from someone with experience. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Today, while I was at work, my sister stole my iPad and tested to see if
it can survive a twenty five foot drop, just so she can be a youtube sensation.
My apple ipad is now destroyed and she has 83 views. I know this is totally off topic but I had to share it
    with someone!
